ANA Crowne Plaza Resort Okinawa Uruma Hills by IHG is a 123-room resort hotel that opened on March 1, 2025 on a hilltop in Ishikawa, Uruma, in the central part of Okinawa's main island. The spacious rooms with balconies look out over Uruma's quiet mountains and the wide-open sea. The entire property is non-smoking, which makes for an easy environment with children.

A tatami area makes it easier to let a crawling baby play on the floor, or to sleep side by side as a family. A crib is arranged on request for a fee, so if you need one, it is safest to ask when you book. Every room has a bathtub and a shower.

Outdoor pool and a communal bath with a sauna

The outdoor pool is designed for adults and children alike, and in summer it also opens as a night pool. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a season running from late April to the end of October. A grassy lawn area spreads out beside the pool.

Inside the hotel is a communal bath with a sauna, Amaan Sauna, which has a proper dry sauna, private shower rooms, and several washbasin units. It is compact, but it is a place to soothe a body tired out by sightseeing and activities, and to unwind at the end of the day with family or friends.

One thing to note: whether children who are not yet out of diapers can use the communal bath or the pool, including whether swim diapers are allowed, is not listed in our information. If you are planning to use them with a young child, we recommend checking with the hotel in advance.

Activities and practical details

The surrounding area is known as one of Asia's leading diving destinations, with water clear enough to see more than 50 m. There is a golf course next to the hotel. Inside, there is a fitness gym (24 hours for guests; 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. for non-guests) and a coin laundry available 24 hours.

Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 12 p.m. The lead guest at check-in must be 18 or over, though there is no age limit on children staying.
