Halekulani Okinawa is an accomplished resort of Hawaiian origin standing on the beachfront in Onna Village, Okinawa. Every room has an ocean view and a generous 50 sq m or more of space. Co-sleeping in an existing bed is free for children up to age 12, with up to one child per adult. Outdoors there is a kids' pool, and the indoor pool, usable year-round, also offers natural onsen. Baby items are available to borrow and babysitting can be arranged, making it easy to plan a stay with young children.

Children can stay from age 0. There are 360 guest rooms, all with ocean views. Standard rooms are a generous 50 sq m or more. King rooms have one bed measuring 194 cm wide by 205 cm long; twin rooms have two beds measuring 135 cm by 205 cm placed side by side in Hollywood-twin style; and triple rooms add one bed measuring 102 cm by 205 cm to that arrangement. Children up to age 12 may co-sleep with a parent or guardian in an existing bed, with up to one co-sleeping child per adult. If a child under 13 uses a bed on their own, they are treated the same as an adult and counted toward the room's occupancy. The 5 villas dotted along the clifftop each have a private heated pool and a natural onsen, offering a higher level of privacy.

The kids' menu includes Hamburg steak and udon, and baby food in the form of vegetable puree with rice porridge is provided free of charge (chicken or white-fish puree costs 700 yen). You can also bring your own baby food and have the kitchen warm it for you. Allergies are accommodated where possible if you discuss them when booking, though the meals served are not completely free of allergens. The all-day dining restaurant House Without a Key, the steak and wine restaurant Kingdom, and the Japanese restaurant Seihekiso (open until 8 p.m., with last entry at 6 p.m., excluding the sushi counter) have no age restrictions, while Shiru, serving innovative cuisine, is for ages 12 and over and the sunset bar Spectra is for ages 20 and over after 8 p.m. Breakfast has no age restriction at any of the restaurants, and at the all-day dining buffet it costs 1,500 yen for ages 3 to 6 and is free for ages 2 and under, with children aged 6 and under who are staying at the hotel dining free.

At the indoor pool, usable year-round, you can enjoy the jet bath and natural onsen while wearing a swimsuit. From November 2026 through March 2027, use of the indoor pool after 7 p.m. is limited to ages 16 and over. The bathing facilities at Spa Halekulani also have natural onsen, but they are limited to guests aged 16 and over who have booked a spa treatment. The 5 clifftop villas each have a private heated pool and a natural onsen, so you can enjoy the hot spring in greater privacy.
