Overview

Comfort Hotel Nagoya Shinkansenguchi is a 156-room, entirely non-smoking hotel in Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, about a 5-minute walk from the Taikodori exit of JR Nagoya Station. Children up to the sixth grade of elementary school stay free of charge when co-sleeping, and breakfast is free for those co-sleeping children as well. Cribs are available for a fee, with advance reservation required and only in certain room types. Children's tableware and baby chairs are also provided. There is no communal bath and no dedicated parking, but guests can enjoy a free breakfast buffet and the Library Cafe.

Rooms

Guest rooms come in three types: Double Standard (140 cm-wide bed, 15 sq m, for 1-2 guests), Queen Economy (160 cm-wide bed, 15-17 sq m, for 1-3 guests) and Twin Standard (two 123 cm-wide beds, 23 sq m, for 1-4 guests). In a Twin Standard, the two 123 cm beds can be pushed together into a Hollywood twin measuring 246 cm across, so there is plenty of room to rest with a co-sleeping child. This must be requested by the day before your stay. A barrier-free Universal Room for wheelchair users (28 sq m, two 123 cm-wide beds) is also available, but it can only be booked by phone. All rooms are non-smoking.

Dining

Breakfast is served as a free buffet at the Library Cafe on the first floor, open from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The spread includes bread, pilaf, cereal, egg dishes and salads, and co-sleeping children can have breakfast free of charge too. Children's tableware is available at the breakfast venue, and baby chairs are provided as well, though in limited numbers. If you are concerned about food allergies, you can check the allergen list at the front desk, but the hotel does not accommodate individual requests.

Baths

There is no communal bath, so bathing is done in the bathroom in your guest room.
