Overview
Laboland Kurohime is a rental cottage property with 26 lodges of various sizes scattered across more than 100,000 square meters of forest at the foot of Mount Kurohime. It opened in 1971 as a place for children to learn through hands-on experience, and every lodge is rented out whole to a single group. Each lodge has a bathtub and shower plus a small kitchen, so families can cook for themselves and take their time together. There is plenty to do outdoors, including the Kids NINJA Park, a high ropes course, SUP on Lake Nojiri, and snow play and snowshoeing in winter. The nearest ski area, Kurohime Kogen Snow Park, is about 10 minutes away by car. Another distinctive feature is that dogs of any size, and any number of them, can stay with you.

Lodges (Guest Accommodation)
There are three lodge types to suit different needs. Lodge Type A (Shirokuma, 2 lodges) is for 1-5 guests and is a quiet lodge with a 10-tatami Japanese-style room and a 10-tatami Western-style room. Lodge Type B (24 lodges) is a two-story lodge for 2-19 guests, suited to large families and groups. Lodge Type C (12 lodges) joins two Type B lodges together for groups of 15-30. In every case you rent the whole building, so you can relax without worrying about other guests, whether your baby cries at night or your children get noisy.
