Overview
Mihamakan Oshima is an inn built around the theme of relaxation, standing on a hill overlooking the port on Izu Oshima. All 10 guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms, and futon bedding is used. Rooms
All 10 guest rooms are Japanese-style tatami rooms (room sizes are measured in tatami mats). The non-smoking standard rooms come as a 6-mat room for 1-3 guests, an 8-mat room for 1-4 guests and a 10-mat room for 1-5 guests. All of them share bath and toilet facilities, and futon bedding is used. Each room has free Wi-Fi and its own air conditioning, and a shared refrigerator is available too.

Breakfast is served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dinner is Japanese cuisine made by hand at the inn from carefully selected ingredients, with seasonal produce giving each meal a sense of the time of year. Breakfast is a self-service Western or Japanese breakfast, served in the main hall or the dining room. Drinks such as juice, milk, coffee and tea are also set out for guests to help themselves.
Baths
There are 2 shared baths, open from 3 p.m. until 9 a.m. the next morning. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap and a hair dryer are provided. The baths are used by reservation, and the inn takes care to keep them clean.

The inn is a 10-minute walk from Motomachi Port. The trip takes as little as 1 hour 45 minutes by high-speed jet ferry from Takeshiba Passenger Terminal in Tokyo, or as little as 25 minutes by plane from Chofu Airport. A rental car is recommended for getting around the island: buses stop running early and there are few taxis, so at some times of day it can be hard to find a way to get around. Kobohama Beach is about a 15-minute walk away. Parking is available for 5 cars at 1,000 yen per night, including tax, and requires a reservation. Late checkout is available at 1,000 yen per person per hour.
