Overview

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Naha Omoromachi is a business-resort-style hotel about a 5-minute walk from Omoromachi Station on the Yui Rail, in Naha Omoromachi at the heart of Okinawa's Shintoshin (new city center) district. Every guest room sits on the 10th floor or above, with views across Naha. Elementary school children and younger can co-sleep free, a crib is lent free of charge for children under 1 year old, and a good range of baby gear such as strollers and diaper trash bins can be borrowed. The restaurant on the 18th floor serves a breakfast buffet built around Okinawan cooking.

Rooms

Every guest room in this high-rise hotel is on the 10th floor or above, so the view stretches across Naha. Some rooms face the East China Sea, and on a clear day the Kerama Islands can come into sight.

There are six room types. The Standard Double (20 sq m, 2 guests) has a 154 cm × 203 cm bed and cannot take a crib, while the Deluxe Double (24 sq m, 2 guests) has the same 154 cm × 203 cm bed and holds up to 3 guests once a sofa bed is set up. The Hollywood Twin (24 sq m, 3 guests) has two 110 cm × 190 cm beds pushed together, so a parent can sleep right beside a child with peace of mind. In the Superior Twin (31 sq m, 4 guests) the beds measure 122 cm × 203 cm, and an extra bed brings the room to 4 guests. The Deluxe Twin (40 sq m, 4 guests) is a corner room fitted with a massage chair and suits family or group trips, and the Universal Twin (40 sq m, 4 guests) has a barrier-free bathroom designed to be easy to use from a wheelchair. Air purifiers are installed in the rooms, and humidifiers can be borrowed.

Dining

Breakfast is served at Sky Garden, the restaurant on the top floor, the 18th, as a Japanese and Western buffet built around Okinawan cooking. It runs from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., with last orders at 9:30 a.m. Adults pay 1,980 yen including tax and children ages 6 to 12 pay 1,000 yen including tax, while children ages 0 to 5 eat free. The eight main allergens (shrimp, crab, walnut, wheat, buckwheat, egg, milk and peanut) are flagged on cards in the dining room; for any other allergen you need to contact the hotel yourself. Room service is not available.

Family-friendly features

Children of elementary school age and under (ages 0 to 12) co-sleep free, counted as one child per bed and one child per adult: up to 1 child in a single or double room and up to 2 in a twin room. No bedding or amenities are provided for a co-sleeping child. Co-sleeping is not accepted when one guest uses a twin room alone; in that case the two-person rate applies.

For children under 1 year old, a crib is lent free of charge. Advance notice is required because the number of cribs and the room types that can take one are limited, and for safety a crib cannot be lent for a baby who has begun pulling up to stand. Bed guards, strollers (for babies up to 24 months old), diaper-only trash bins and baby-bottle sterilizers can also be borrowed. Children are given slippers and a toothbrush at check-in. Checkout is normally 11 a.m. and can be extended to 2 p.m. at the latest for 1,000 yen per hour, including tax. Children may not stay by themselves without an adult.

Access
