Hotel Morinokaze Tateyama is a hot-spring hotel at the foot of the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Awasuno Onsen, an alkaline simple sulfur spring with a pH of 9.8 that is known as a bath for beautiful skin, can be enjoyed in the communal bath, the open-air bath and the private-hire baths. Inside, the all-weather Kids Land, built from hinoki cypress, lets children play indoors even on rainy days. Co-sleeping is for children under 3, and the facility entry fee is free for children aged 2 and under. Guest rooms come in several types, including Western-style triples and 12-tatami Japanese-style tatami rooms, so families are well accommodated.

The Western-style rooms in the main building come in triple and twin types. The Western-style triples are 31 to 38 sq m for 1 to 3 guests, with three beds measuring 110 cm wide by 200 cm long by 60 cm high. The Japanese-style tatami rooms are a 12-tatami type for 1 to 4 guests, and the 12-tatami Japanese-style twin takes 1 to 2 guests. Futon bedding in the rooms is laid out in advance, so that guests' private time is left undisturbed. In a Japanese garden enclosed by its own estate gate and a black-painted board fence, 11 detached rooms with an open-air bath, Tateyama Bettei Shikisai, are scattered through it, and you can choose from four types with different fittings, including a hinoki cypress bath and a ceramic bath. The largest room is 87 sq m, roomy enough for a stay with family or friends.

Breakfast is the Kitokito Buffet in the second-floor restaurant, served for the time being as Japanese and Western dishes. Dinner varies by plan and includes creative Japanese cuisine, served in the second-floor banquet room or the restaurant. For children's meals, choose the upper-grade elementary school option (70% of the adult rate) if you would like meals equivalent to an adult's, or the lower-grade elementary school option (50% of the adult rate) if you would like children's meals. Co-sleeping is available for up to 3 children. For infants and toddlers, the rate with meals and bedding is 50% of the adult rate, while a booking with no meals and no bedding cannot be accommodated. The facility entry fee is free for children aged 2 and under, and their number is given in the "Questions from the hotel" field when booking.
