Overview
Hotel Alpha-One Toyama Ekimae is a 253-room business hotel a 1-minute walk from the main exit of JR Toyama Station. Every room has a wide Simmons bed and a Tempur pillow, and the single, double and twin rooms all come with a bathtub and toilet. The top floor has a panoramic communal bath with a sauna, and humidifiers and air purifiers are available to borrow free of charge. Breakfast is also free, with local Toyama specialties such as masuzushi (trout sushi) rice balls.

Dining
Breakfast is free of charge and is served from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the second-floor restaurant Alpha Garden (8 a.m. to 9 a.m. from January 1 to 3). The Japanese and Western spread includes rice balls made with Toyama's famous masuzushi (trout sushi) and fifteen-grain rice, hotaruika (firefly squid) simmered in sweet soy, kombu-wrapped kamaboko fish cake, fluffy plain omelets, komatsuna greens side dishes, hearty homemade miso soup packed with ingredients, bananas and fruit punch. Breakfast is for staying guests only, and you need your room card key to enter. Taking food and drink out of the restaurant is not allowed, and guests are asked to refrain from bringing in alcoholic drinks.
Baths
On the top floor there are free baths: a panoramic communal bath with a sauna for men, and a communal bath with a sauna for women. The communal baths are open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning and again from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., while the saunas are available only from 5 p.m. to midnight. Towels, combs, razors and similar items are not provided in the bathing area, so bring them from your room. The windows of the women's bath are screened to prevent anyone looking in.

A microwave in the lobby is available for guests to use freely, which comes in handy for warming milk or baby food.
