A Private Pool at Every Villa, Open to Children in Diapers with a Swim Diaper

CLASS THE FIRST Miyakojima is a resort of villas with private pools in Gusukube on Miyakojima. Every unit is a freestanding villa, and **each one has its own private pool (12.00 sq m, 2 m x 6 m, 1.2 m deep)**. The pool includes a **free area 50 cm deep**, described as a water-play spot for small children. The water is cool in summer and heated in winter. The greatest draw is being able to spend time as a family alone, without worrying about everyday household noise.

From a family's point of view, the big thing is that **the pool rules state that "children who are using diapers wear a swimsuit over a swim diaper."** Even small children who are not yet out of diapers can enjoy the water in a pool that belongs to your family alone. There is no age limit for the pool, but **children of elementary school age and younger must always be accompanied by a guardian watching close by**. At 1.2 m, the depth is designed for adults, so never take your eyes off them.

There are two room types.

• **POOL VILLA SUITE** (152.20 sq m in total: 87.92 sq m indoors and 64.29 sq m outdoors; up to 4 guests)
• **QUEEN'S VILLA SUITE** (212.94 sq m in total: 133.87 sq m indoors and 79.07 sq m outdoors; up to 6 guests, with 2 bedrooms)

**Children up to age 12 co-sleep free of charge, up to 2 per room, in addition to the room's capacity** (no children's rate is set). Guests aged 12 and over count toward the room capacity. All rooms are Western-style, and no extra beds are available.

An Induction Kitchen for Making Baby Food and Cooking for Yourselves

Each villa has an **induction kitchen** equipped with a refrigerator (335 L), a convection microwave oven, cookware such as pots and frying pans, dishes, cutlery and a knife set, a coffee machine and a water server. Because you can cook for yourselves, it is an easy setting for making baby food to suit your child's age in months and for preparing children's meals. However, no rice cooker is installed or available to borrow.

The drinks and snacks in the refrigerator - awamori (an Okinawan distilled spirit), soft drinks, chinsuko (Okinawan shortbread) and the like - are complimentary, with restocking limited to one set per villa. **No breakfast service and no room service are offered.** If you book the **BBQ set plan**, which comes with ingredients and a full grill set, you can barbecue in the outdoor living area. There is a supermarket (A-Coop Gusukube) 3 minutes away by car and a convenience store 7 minutes away.

A Private Sauna and the Lawn in the Courtyard

Each villa also has a **private sauna**. However, **the sauna room cannot be used by children of elementary school age or younger**, and guests under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. There is no communal bath on the property. The bath and toilet are separate in every villa.

As a place where children can play, there is the **Hoshizora Terrace, a starry-sky terrace with a lawn, in the courtyard**. An outdoor shower, yoga mats and a foam roller (stretch pole) are also provided at each villa.

Families with Babies Need to Pack Ahead

To be straightforward about it, this villa **does not lend cribs or strollers, and it does not stock baby-specific items such as baby soap, a toilet-training seat or a step stool**. There is no children's loungewear either, so families traveling with a baby will need to bring what they need. On the other hand, the freestanding villas let you stay without worrying about everyday household noise, the induction kitchen lets you prepare baby food, and children in diapers can get into the pool with a swim diaper - so for families who can pack accordingly, the setting is a comfortable one.

Activities and Practical Details

Snorkel set and underwater scooter rentals are available (inquire through the property's LINE account), and the villa can also point you to partner activities and a list of recommended spots on Miyakojima. There are 3 golf courses within 20 minutes. A rental car service, CLASS THE RENTAL, offering convertibles, SUVs and other vehicles, can be arranged.

Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 10 a.m.; early check-in is not available, and late checkout may not be possible depending on the booking situation. Check-in is handled on a tablet, and the villas use electronic locks. The property has adopted environmentally minded "eco cleaning," with towels changed and trash collected once every 3 days and sheets changed once every 6 days. All rooms are non-smoking, and smoking is allowed only in the smoking space in the outdoor living area. Pets cannot stay. It is a zero-energy resort with environmental measures such as filtering and recirculating rainwater.
