Dining
Rates include one night with breakfast. Breakfast features rice from Ibaraki Prefecture cooked in a traditional hagama pot, miso soup with local vegetables, Mito natto, eggs from Kasumigaura, wakasagi (pond smelt) simmered until tender, and Hitachi no Ume pickled plums. Dinner is not part of the basic plan but can be added as an option, requested either when booking or up to 3 days before your stay. The Kasumigaura Gozen dinner is a menu designed for children from kindergarten age through the lower grades of elementary school. Other choices include a barbecue of Ibaraki pork and Ibaraki vegetables (January to August, bookable for 2 or more guests) and a dinner plan with dishes grilled over oga binchotan charcoal at a traditional irori sunken hearth (reservations required at least 3 days in advance). The kitchen area is open to staff only, so guests cannot do their own cooking.
Baths
The bathing facilities are shared: there are 2 shared bathrooms, 1 of which has a bathtub, plus a separate shared shower room. Bath towels, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided.
Family-Friendly Features
Stays are booked as a fully private whole-house rental, so you never share the space with another group. Children's rates are available, and extra beds can be arranged, letting you adjust the bedding to the size of your family. The shared areas have a refrigerator, microwave and kettle, which come in handy for preparing baby food and formula. From July 16 to August 31, 2026, a summer holiday campaign for children aged 12 and under lets kids choose a gift at check-in from options such as an insect-collecting set or admission tickets to Kasumigaura Aquarium. From July to September there is also a nagashi somen (flowing noodles) and watermelon-splitting program, half price for children of elementary school age and under.

The address is 895-1 Saka, Kasumigaura, Ibaraki. It is about 24 minutes by car from Takahama Station, and free parking is available. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., and checkout is by 10 a.m. The Tsukuba Kasumigaura Ring Ring Road, designated a National Cycle Route, runs right nearby.
