Rooms
On September 14, 2026, the former Hotel Associa Takayama Resort was reborn as Hilton Takayama Resort. There are 283 guest rooms, all of them a generous 35 sq m or larger. The King Guest Room is 35 sq m with a bed 180 cm wide. The Triple Room is 46 sq m with three beds 135 cm wide plus one sofa bed, and sleeps up to 4 guests. The 70 sq m Japanese-style tatami suite is laid out with futon bedding on tatami and sleeps up to 5 guests. The accessible room, designed to be easy to get around in a wheelchair, is 35 sq m with two beds 120 cm wide. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to midnight, and checkout is at 12 p.m.

Alongside the Dining Room VISTAS, the restaurants include the teppanyaki restaurant Gaku and the Japanese restaurant Waki. Dining Room VISTAS is buffet-style, serving dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (last entry 9 p.m.) and breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. (last entry 9:30 a.m.). Plans that include meals do not cover children's meals, and there is no kids' menu. Children aged 6 and over who are co-sleeping are charged for meals. Meals accommodating allergies can also be arranged.

At an elevation of 640 meters, the view bath takes in the whole sweep of the Northern Alps. Tenbo no Yu, Hida Takayama Onsen Spring No. 1, has two open-air baths and two communal baths, open from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. to midnight, with the men's and women's baths swapping from day to day. The sauna is a low-temperature sauna. There are 3 private-hire baths, open from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and requiring advance reservation. The water is a weakly alkaline simple spring, said to help with neuralgia and sensitivity to cold.
Family-Friendly Features
Co-sleeping is available only for children aged 12 and under, with no facility usage fee. Co-sleeping is limited to one child per adult and per regular bed (or one set of futon bedding). If a child aged 12 or under needs bedding of their own, the adult rate applies, and guests aged 13 and over must be entered as adults when booking. An extra bed is available for an additional charge, and a child under 13 who needs an extra bed is also charged separately and must be counted as an adult when booking. Cribs are available to borrow for guest rooms, and rooms come with a humidifier. Childcare and a kids' menu are not offered. About 8 minutes from JR Takayama Station by free shuttle bus. The hotel is 10 minutes from the Takayama Interchange on the Chubu-Jukan Expressway. By car it is about 2 hours 20 minutes from Nagoya, about 4 hours 30 minutes from Tokyo, about 4 hours 20 minutes from Osaka and about 1 hour 30 minutes from Kanazawa. Parking has 200 spaces and is free for staying guests. In winter, Takayama calls for preparation for icy and snowy roads, such as tire chains.
