You can bathe inside your room without using the communal bath, so you can enjoy the hot spring with a small child without worrying about other guests. Among the 50 sq m type there are also rooms with a stone bath fed by natural hot spring water.

Overview
Ureshino Onsen Yuyado Sarayama is a 9-room hot-spring inn in Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, run by the ryokan Yoshidaya. The rooms are simple Japanese-Western rooms with Serta beds, and the bath, toilet and washbasin are separate from one another. Rooms with an onsen have their own private hot-spring bath, which makes bathing with a small child easier. The communal bath has an open-air bath, an indoor bath and a sauna, where you can enjoy Ureshino onsen, said to be one of Japan's three great skin-beautifying hot springs. The Western-style dinner bento can be eaten in your guest room, and some plans have a set child rate.
Rooms
All 9 rooms are Japanese-Western style, and the standard type is 28-34 sq m with two single beds. The bath, toilet and washbasin are all separate from one another, so the layout keeps a degree of privacy even when several people stay together. The Premium Japanese-Western rooms with an onsen have their own private onsen; the 50 sq m type, for example, has two semi-double beds and a living-room sofa, along with a stone bath fed by natural hot spring water. There is also a non-smoking 34 sq m single-space room with two beds, a size that works for a family stay.
Dining
For dinner you can choose between kaiseki cuisine at the ryokan Yoshidaya, a few minutes' walk away, and a creative Western-style bento (a boxed meal) from the restaurant Kihaco. The bento can be eaten not only in the restaurant but also in your guest room at Sarayama or at the self-dining seats on the first floor. The self-dining area has a microwave and a kettle, and a free coffee machine serves coffee, cafe latte, cocoa and more. On some plans that include dinner, elementary school children are served the same dishes as adults. Please note that the dishes cannot be changed, including for allergies, and guests at the same table are asked to share portions among themselves.
Baths and Onsen
The communal bath has an open-air bath and an indoor bath, both spacious and open in feel. The spring water is a sodium bicarbonate spring (a sodium bicarbonate and chloride spring) with a pH of 7.5-8.5. This is Ureshino onsen, said to leave your skin beautiful just from soaking in it. The communal bath also has an authentic sauna where you can enjoy löyly steam infused with Ureshino tea, along with a cold-water bath and a space to relax afterward.
Family-Friendly Features
Some plans that include dinner have a set child rate, which makes the inn easier to use as a family. If you choose a room with an onsen, you can bathe with a small child in the room's private onsen rather than using the communal bath. The Western-style dinner bento can also be served as in-room dining, so you can eat with your child without worrying about other guests. No staff are stationed in the building: on arrival you answer the intercom at the entrance and then complete the formalities at the check-in machine inside. If you are traveling with a small child, it helps to allow a little extra time for the arrival process. The entire property is non-smoking.

The inn is in Ureshino, Saga Prefecture, about 40 minutes by car from Huis Ten Bosch, about 50 minutes by car from SAGA Arena, about 50 minutes by car from Nagasaki, and about 60 minutes by car from Fukuoka Tenjin. No shuttle is offered for staying guests. Parking is free, with 9 spaces in the first parking lot and 12 in the second; spaces are first-come, first-served, so if they are full you may end up parking about a 7-minute walk away.
