forumWhat families say

Rakuten Travel rating 4.37 out of 5 (651 reviews). There is a playroom, with a review saying a 5-year-old loved it. Many reviews point to the in-room washer-dryer and microwave as handy, and some say they needed hardly any changes of clothes over a 3-night stay; others mention being able to shop at Don Quijote on the 1st and 2nd floors after the children had gone to sleep. On the downside, some guests found it disappointing to be told that on multi-night stays, the room is not cleaned unless you stay a week or longer.

Overview

Tokyu Stay Okinawa Naha is a 3-minute walk from Tsubokawa Station, four stops from Naha Airport on the Yui Rail, and every guest room has a washer-dryer and a mini kitchen. Children under school age co-sleep free of charge, one child per adult, and baby items such as cribs, baby baths and bed guards are available to borrow free of charge. Numbers are limited, so these items need to be requested when you book. The lobby has a kids' space with well-cushioned play equipment and a bouldering area. Rooms

All rooms are non-smoking, and every room has a washer-dryer, a mini kitchen, a microwave and an air purifier with a humidifying function. Because you can do laundry every day, you can pack fewer changes of clothes for the children. The Residential Double is 21 sq m, with one 160 cm-wide queen bed, and sleeps up to 2 guests. The Residential Twin is 23 sq m and also sleeps up to 2. Its two 110 cm-wide single beds are pushed together with no gap, making a combined width of 220 cm, so you can sleep side by side with a co-sleeping child. The Residential Family Room is 31 sq m, with a Hollywood twin setup (two 110 cm-wide beds placed side by side) and a sofa set. For 3 or more guests, an extra bed or a sofa bed is added, and up to 4 guests can stay. The Premier Riverside Twin is 59 sq m, with a separate living room and bedroom and two 120 cm-wide beds; with an added bed, up to 4 guests can stay. The Residential Family Room (Bunk Bed) is 31 sq m and sleeps 2 to 6 guests: up to 4 guests use the bunk beds, a sofa bed is added for 5 guests, and a trundle bed for 6. Please inquire before booking about whether barrier-free rooms are available and how they are equipped.

Dining

Breakfast is served at Kanasan Dining, the restaurant on the 5th floor: a Japanese and Western buffet, plus Okinawan dishes made with local ingredients. It runs from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (last order 10 a.m.) and costs 2,300 yen including tax. No children's price is published, so please confirm with the hotel. There is no in-room dining or room service. You may bring in your own food and drinks, and the rooms have a refrigerator. Don Quijote Naha Tsubokawa, on the 1st and 2nd floors, also stocks baby goods.

Baths

There is no onsen, communal bath, private-hire bath, sauna or pool in the building, so guests bathe in their room's bathroom. The Residential Family Rooms, including the bunk-bed type, have the bath and toilet in separate spaces, with an area for washing yourself. The Premier Riverside Twin also has a separate bath and toilet, with a European-style bathtub looking out over the city at night.
