Overview
Senami Onsen Taikanso Senaminoyu is an onsen ryokan on the shore at Senami Onsen, where every room looks out over the Sea of Japan and the sunset. There are separate communal baths and open-air baths for men and women, a private-hire bath where families can bathe together without worrying about other guests, and rooms with their own open-air bath fed directly from the source. Up to 2 children can co-sleep, and children's rates are set in detail from infancy through elementary school. Senami Beach is right outside the ryokan for a swim, and summer plans for children come with a fireworks set.
Rooms
The Soyokazekan, Hamakazekan and Taikan buildings offer a wide range of room types. The standard corner rooms in Soyokazekan (rooms 426 and 526) are two-room layouts with a 12-tatami Japanese-style tatami room plus two single beds, so family members can sleep separately if they prefer. Also in Soyokazekan, the Kaitenro floor has Japanese-style tatami rooms with beds, combining 13 tatami mats with two single beds and sweeping views of the Sea of Japan. Hamakazekan has no elevator, so guests take the stairs to their rooms. Taikan has barrier-free Japanese-style tatami rooms with a wheelchair-accessible toilet and care taken over steps, and in the Japanese-style rooms with two beds a simple ramp is set up at the entry step into the room. All rooms have been non-smoking since April 1, 2024.
Dining
Breakfast is a buffet built around fresh local vegetables and Iwafune-grown Koshihikari rice, and includes the ryokan's enduringly popular curry with Murakami beef. Depending on the plan, dinner is either in-room dining or served at a dining venue; when it is served at a restaurant, the venue is the Kaio convention hall on the first floor of Soyokazekan or a dining room. Parking is available for 50 cars and is free for staying guests.
