Overview
Seiyunso is a small onsen ryokan with 13 rooms in Senami Onsen in Murakami, Niigata. Every guest room looks out over the Sea of Japan, and the communal baths, open-air baths and private-hire bath all use natural onsen water drawn from the source: the private-hire bath flows directly from the source, while the communal baths and open-air baths use both water flowing directly from the source and recirculated water. Children can stay, and the accommodation plans set child rates and let one child per adult co-sleep free of charge. Meals can be taken in a private room. The ryokan is about a 5-minute drive from the Murakami-Senami-Onsen IC, and no childcare service is offered.
Rooms
The main building has 10 rooms in total: 3 Japanese-style tatami rooms, 4 Japanese-Western rooms, 1 Japanese-Western room with a view bath, 1 special room with a view bath, and 1 VIP suite. Every one of them has an ocean view. Kakairo, a separate annex linked to the main building by a covered corridor, holds 3 maisonette-style Japanese-Western rooms with twin beds in a loft, bringing the property to 13 rooms in all. Dinner is a kaiseki course built around seafood landed at local ports such as Iwafune Port, with each dish prepared carefully one at a time. Both breakfast and dinner can be taken in a private room, and breakfast is a Japanese set menu served at a time you choose from 7:30, 8 or 8:30 a.m. For families who would rather eat without worrying about other guests, a private dining room makes mealtimes much easier.

The spring water is a sodium chloride spring, said to be beneficial for joint pain, muscle pain and similar complaints. There is 1 private-hire bath, open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., reserved at check-in for a 45-minute session. The special room and the VIP suite have their own view bath supplied with Senami source water.
