Nozawa Onsen Hotel

A private-hire open-air bath with 100% free-flowing water straight from the source. It is available to the first 8 groups, for 45 minutes per group, free of charge. Reservations are taken at the front desk when you check in on the day of your stay. Because your family has it to yourselves, you can enjoy the onsen without worrying about other guests even with young children.

These rooms have their own open-air bath, with a Mino-yaki ceramic tub in the Japanese-Western room and a hinoki cypress tub in the Japanese-style tatami room, and there are only 2 such rooms in the whole building. With a private open-air bath in the room, you can soak in water flowing straight from the source at any point in your stay. Even families with a child at an age that makes the communal bath difficult can enjoy the onsen in their own room. These rooms are hard to book, so check early if you would like one.

The 12-mat tatami room sleeps up to 6 guests, the 10-mat tatami room with a broad window-side space and an entry alcove up to 5, and the 8-mat tatami room with a broad window-side space up to 4. The tatami flooring means you can settle in without worrying about a child at the crawling stage rolling off a bed. The 8-mat tatami room has neither bath nor toilet; a toilet is located close to the room.

Rakuten Travel's property information states that meals accommodating allergies can be arranged. What can be accommodated and how far it extends differ from property to property, so please check directly when you book. Meals are served in the restaurant or the banquet hall, and consist of Japanese cuisine made with local vegetables and mountain produce.

The building has a drying room with ski lockers and a changing room. The lockable ski lockers have space for boots and 5 pairs of skis, and you can dry out children's wet clothing and gloves there. Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort is a 4-minute walk away, and the Yu Road moving walkway that connects directly to the Hikage slope is a 5-minute walk.
