Noboribetsu Onsen Noboribetsu Manseikaku is a large 195-room onsen hotel in the Noboribetsu Onsen town center. Its communal baths, Tsuki no Yu and Hoshi no Yu, are fed by sulfur spring water drawn from Jigokudani, and there is a self-service loyly sauna. Dinner and breakfast are served at ROWAN FOOD HALL, a buffet restaurant with around 90 dishes. With a kids' space, a nursing room, and a good range of items to borrow such as cribs and baby baths, plus an indoor pool, the hotel is well set up for family trips with young children.

The hotel offers a wide range of rooms: 8-tatami and 10-tatami Japanese-style tatami rooms, Japanese-modern twin rooms, single and double rooms, maisonette rooms and deluxe rooms. The 10-tatami Japanese-style tatami room sleeps up to 5 guests and has the bathroom and toilet in separate spaces. Every room has a bathroom and a toilet with a washlet seat, but all in-room bathtubs use heated water; only the tubs in the 11th-floor rooms with an open-air bath and rooms with a view bath are filled with onsen water flowing straight from the source. The entire hotel is non-smoking.

Around 90 dishes are laid out, including a seafood rice-bowl corner where you choose your own fresh sashimi, and free drinks such as beer and wine are included (at breakfast, soft drinks only). The dining hall has a kids' buffet corner where children can have fun choosing their own food, the seven major allergens are labeled, and 5 baby chairs, 3 bouncers and children's tableware are provided. A nursing room is also set up in one corner of the restaurant. Baths and Onsen
The communal baths Tsuki no Yu and Hoshi no Yu do not alternate between men and women. The 90°C water drawn from the source at Jigokudani is diluted with natural spring water to bring it down to 45°C, then served flowing straight from the source. Natural mineral flakes collect in the tubs, and the water is a milky-white sulfur onsen. The changing rooms have a washer-dryer (free of charge), a baby bed and a diaper bin, and the bathing areas have a baby bath and a baby bath chair. The women's communal bath also has a tatami-floored washing area for babies at the crawling stage, though there are 11 steps in all inside the communal bath, so watch your footing.

On the 1st floor there is a kids' space with a big chalkboard and a bouldering wall, and the private nursing room next to it has a diaper-changing table, a water server and powdered formula. The indoor pool Dolphin on the 2nd floor includes a children's pool 65-75 cm deep. The front desk lends out shampoo hats, bed-wetting sheets and baby-bottle sterilizers, and cribs, nap futons and toilet-training seats can be borrowed for your room, though quantities of all these items are limited. Children's rates are 70% of the adult rate for elementary school children, 50% for ages 3 through children who have not yet started elementary school, and 30% for children ages 2 and under with futon bedding; without futon bedding, children ages 2 and under pay a facility fee of 1,100 yen. Wheelchair use is limited to the public areas and Western-style rooms, and because there are steps at the washroom entrance and the en-suite bathroom in the Western-style rooms, guests who can sleep on futons and are able to walk are also offered Japanese-style tatami rooms.
Access
Take the bus bound for Noboribetsu Onsen from JR Noboribetsu Station and get off at the last stop, and the hotel is right in front of you. Outdoor parking is free, and staff will direct you when you arrive by car. There is also the Yuyu Liner, a paid shuttle bus between Sapporo and Noboribetsu Onsen (by advance reservation only), on which children ages 3 and over who need their own seat pay the same fare as an adult.
