Overview
Noboribetsu Mahoroba is a 398-room onsen resort in Noboribetsu Onsen. Families can enjoy four types of spring water and 31 bathing experiences, while dinner centers on a buffet with all-you-can-eat crab and seafood bowls. The buffet venue has a children's corner with dishes placed at a low height, a kids' space, and children's spoons and forks. Bumbo seats, baby bath seats, diaper bins and diaper-changing mats are available to borrow free of charge, making the resort well equipped for stays with children.
Rooms
The 10-tatami Japanese-style room (34 sq m, capacity 2-5 guests) was renovated in 2016 and has Muatsu mattresses by Showa Nishikawa, chosen for comfortable sleep. The Western-style twin room (24 sq m, capacity 2 guests) has Simmons beds, while the Japanese-style twin room (24 sq m, capacity 2 guests) has 2 low beds set on tatami. The Japanese-Western room (68 sq m, capacity 2-6 guests) connects a Japanese-style room and a Western-style twin room with an interior door, allowing guests to move between them without entering the hallway. Another Japanese-Western room type (48 sq m, capacity 2-4 guests) combines an 8-tatami Japanese-style room with a Western-style twin room. The large room (48 sq m, 12 tatami + 8.5 tatami, capacity 4-9 guests) is a spacious Japanese-style room for families and groups, accommodating up to 9 guests. The suite with a private open-air bath fed by the source spring (64 sq m, capacity 2-4 guests) is nonsmoking, as are all room types; its open-air bath uses 100% source spring water in a continuous flow, with added water.
Dining
Dinner mainly consists of a buffet at Liberty, with all-you-can-eat crab, seafood bowls made with salmon roe, salmon and tuna, and more than 50 menu items including ramen and tempura prepared in the open kitchen. Children are served the same buffet dishes as adults. At the private dining venue Yu-en, kaiseki plans provide a Japanese-style kids' set meal (zen tray) for elementary school children and a kids' plate for children who have not yet started elementary school; both are available only with plans that include meals. Children's spoons and forks are also provided. The second-floor Green Terrace venue has a new children's corner where dishes are portioned into small bowls and placed at a low height, along with a kids' space where children can play while remaining within adults' view.

The resort has four types of spring water: sulfur spring water, salt spring water, simple sulfur spring water and acidic iron spring water. On the basement 1st and basement 2nd floors are 2 communal baths and 2 open-air baths, offering 31 bathing experiences with the baths changing between men and women at different times. Bathing is unavailable from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. during cleaning and from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. during the changeover between men's and women's baths. There is no private-hire bath. The guest-room bath in the suite with a private open-air bath uses 100% source spring water in a continuous flow, with added water.

From Sapporo, the Mahoroba-go shuttle bus (1,000 yen one way, 2,000 yen round trip) operates by reservation only, with reservations required at least 7 days in advance; it may be suspended when there are 9 or fewer reservations. Adults and children pay the same fare, and children ages 0-2 also pay the adult fare when using a seat. Parking for 200 vehicles is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
