There are 24 rooms in total (20 Japanese-style tatami rooms, 2 Japanese-Western rooms and 2 others), covering three styles - Japanese-style tatami, Japanese-Western and Japanese-modern - plus two villa-style buildings. Every room has an open-air bath fed directly from the source, flowing continuously 24 hours a day. There is no communal bath, so bathing takes place in the room's own bath. The 10-tatami Japanese-style rooms with an ocean view sleep up to 4 guests on 4 futons, while the Japanese-Western rooms, which combine a 10-tatami Japanese-style room with twin beds, sleep up to 6 guests on 4 futons plus 2 beds. The Japanese-modern rooms place twin beds in a 10-tatami room, with futons added for parties of 3 or more. The other, Toge no Sakura Chaya, has a bright, high-ceilinged design with a loft and a hidden room that children love, and suits stays by more than one family together.
Dining
Dinner and breakfast are served at Kodoan. There are table seats and private Japanese-style rooms: 6 rooms with sunken-floor (horigotatsu) seating, 13 tatami seats and 3 rooms with table seating. For children there is a kids' meal with dishes such as Hamburg steak and fried items, along with a la carte options including udon and french fries. If you let the hotel know in advance, the menu can also be adjusted for allergies or dietary restrictions. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal of Kishu flavors, including the regional specialty chagayu (rice porridge cooked in tea), dried fish, freshly boiled shirasu whitebait and kamaboko fish cake, served from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Baths and Onsen
Shirahama Onsen is counted among Japan's three oldest hot springs and its three great onsen destinations. The onsen here is a sodium chloride-bicarbonate spring, 100% natural onsen flowing directly from the source, with no artificial hot-spring water. There is no communal bath; instead, parents and children can take their time bathing in the open-air bath in every room. A bathing tax of 150 yen per adult applies separately.

Infants under 2 stay free of charge, and guests are asked to let the hotel know in advance how many will be joining them.
