The onsen and the lake views are well received too. Kohan no Onsenyado Kunibiki / Glamping Base IZUMO stands on the shore of Lake Jinzai, drawing on Koryo Onsen, known as a hot spring that is good for the skin. The main building has few steps and a range of spacious family rooms, from lakeside Japanese-style tatami rooms of 12 to 20 tatami mats to a deluxe Japanese-Western room with a living area and 4 Japanese-style beds. Along the lakeshore there are 7 glamping domes, each rented whole to one group, where dinner is a barbecue on the gazebo terrace attached to the dome. The domes have no toilet or bathroom inside: guests use the toilets in the main building and bathe in its communal bath. The restaurant has high chairs and baby chairs, the women's changing room at the communal bath has a baby bed, and the first floor of the annex has a nursing room and a diaper-changing table. On the other hand, there are no cribs, baby futons, bed guards or strollers available to borrow, and no playroom or private-hire bath.
Rooms
The main building has 25 guest rooms, and there are 7 glamping domes on the shore of Lake Jinzai. The lake-view Superior Twin with living area and loft has 2 Japanese-style beds plus 2 sets of futon bedding in the loft, sleeping up to 4 guests. The Deluxe Japanese-Western room with living area is 57.7 sq m, with a tatami area and 4 Japanese-style beds, and sleeps up to 6 guests; for parties of 5 or more, extra futon bedding is added. The Lakeside Japanese-style tatami rooms range from 12 to 20 tatami mats, sleeping 5 guests in the 12-mat rooms and 8 in the 20-mat rooms. You cannot specify the size, as rooms are assigned on the day. There is also a barrier-free Universal Japanese-Western room (31 sq m with a 4.5-mat tatami area). The Royal Twin rooms, 5 in all, have an in-room bath fed with onsen water. Children's yukata and slippers are available too. Each glamping dome is 28 sq m and sleeps 1 to 4 guests, with a barbecue gazebo attached to every dome. The domes have no bath or toilet inside; the toilets are in the main building, and the washing area is shared. Two of the 7 domes allow one small dog per dome.
Dining
Guests staying in the main building have both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant Kunibiki on the first floor of the annex, and in-room dining is not offered. In the main building, dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last order 8:30 p.m.) and breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. If you arrive after 7 p.m., dinner may not be able to be prepared, and no refund or change to in-room dining is possible. Dinner for glamping guests is a barbecue enjoyed on the gazebo terrace attached to the dome. There are three courses: EASE at 4,950 yen with lighter portions, GRAN at 7,150 yen, and EXE at 9,350 yen including turban shell and abalone, all tax included, and you are free to bring your own ingredients. Rice and bread are not included, and equipment such as the grill and cutlery is available to rent for a fee. Breakfast for glamping guests is the Gran Morning Set at 1,650 yen, which requires no cooking over a fire and is collected from the main building restaurant between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. On the Family Glamping plan too, meals are for adults only, and the EASE course is described as a casual barbecue to share with your children. For children's meals, a Japanese-style tray is 1,000 yen and a mainly Western-style children's set is 2,000 yen, both before tax. Hours are 3 p.m. to midnight and 6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., and it is free for staying guests. Glamping guests can use the main building's communal bath and open-air bath as well. No towels are provided at the communal bath, so bring the face towel and bath towel from your room. There is no minimum age for bathing in the communal bath, but please watch your footing, as the type of spring water makes the floor slippery. Children up to age 9 may enter the bath of the opposite sex; children aged 10 and over may not. There is no private-hire bath or family bath. People with tattoos cannot use the communal bath.

Access
About 5 minutes by car from JR Konan Station, and about 20 minutes by car from Izumo Taisha Shrine. A free shuttle bus runs to and from Konan Station between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m., with a phone reservation required. Check-in is from 3 p.m., and checkout is at 10 a.m. in the main building and 11 a.m. for glamping. Late checkout depends on availability on the day and must be requested in advance: 30% of the room rate until 12 p.m., and 50% until 3 p.m. There is a walking path through the trees nearby, and Shimane Hana no Sato, 10 minutes away by car, has an open space where children can play. Campfires are permitted for glamping guests only, provided they bring their own fire pit and firewood.
