JUSANDI is an all-suite pool villa retreat of just five villas set in 6,000 tsubo (about 19,800 sq m) of subtropical forest on Ishigaki Island, with a private pool at every villa. Since June 22, 2023, children of all ages have been welcome, and children of elementary school age and under stay by co-sleeping, with up to one child per adult. A children's breakfast is prepared for children in the lower grades of elementary school and under, but baby food and infant formula are not provided. Children who need their own bedding must be booked as adults.
Villas
JUSANDI is an all-suite pool villa retreat where just five villas stand on 6,000 tsubo (about 19,800 sq m) of subtropical forest on Ishigaki Island. There are two villa types: a one-bedroom of 60 sq m and a two-bedroom of 100 sq m. The one-bedroom villa has 60 sq m of villa space on a 200 sq m plot, accommodates 1-2 guests, and has two beds measuring 120 cm wide by 195 cm long by 30 cm high, along with a private pool fed by spring water (3.5 m x 7 m, kept at ambient temperature). The two-bedroom villa has 100 sq m of villa space on a 500 sq m plot, accommodates 1-4 guests, and also has an infinity pool kept at ambient temperature. None of the villas have ocean views.
Dining
Breakfast can be taken in the dining restaurant or in your villa. Creative Japanese cuisine made with Ryukyu ingredients and an American breakfast are served on alternating days, and for parties of 3 or more, breakfast is served only in the dining restaurant. Dinner is an Italian-based course menu by reservation only (17,600 yen), with a choice of 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. Children in the lower grades of elementary school and under are served a children's breakfast, but baby food and infant formula are not provided.
Play Areas and Pools
In addition to the private pool at each villa, staying guests can also use the outdoor pool free of charge. The outdoor pool is 7 m long, 4 m wide and at least 130 cm deep, and there is no children's pool. The pools are kept at ambient temperature at all times, and from November to March the water is cold, so getting in is not recommended.

JUSANDI began accepting children of elementary school age and over on July 12, 2022, and since June 22, 2023 it has welcomed children of all ages. Guests in junior high school and above stay as adults. Children of elementary school age and under stay by co-sleeping, with up to one child per adult. If a child needs their own bedding, that child must be booked as an adult. A one-bedroom villa can accommodate up to 4 people: 2 adults plus 2 co-sleeping children. Extra beds are not available. Children's rates are 22,000 yen per night for children in the upper grades of elementary school and 11,000 yen per night for children in the lower grades and under, both including breakfast, tax and service charge. Children's amenities include a toothbrush, indoor slippers, a body towel and a handkerchief; anything else you need, such as pajamas, must be brought with you. If your child has a food allergy, you can discuss it with the staff in advance.
Access
JUSANDI is about 15 minutes by car from New Ishigaki Airport. By public bus, take Azuma Kotsu Route 11, the Yonehara Campground Line, and get off at Yonehara Yashirin-iriguchi. There is parking for 5 cars, free for staying guests, and valet service is also free of charge. An airport shuttle is available for a fee and must be arranged in advance through the concierge desk, open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Because of where the property sits, a rental car is necessary for sightseeing.
