Overview

Hotel New Otani Makuhari is a city hotel next to Makuhari Messe, about a 5-minute walk from JR Kaihimmakuhari Station. It has 418 rooms, and guests can use a free direct shuttle to Tokyo Disney Resort. Children through the third grade of elementary school stay free when co-sleeping, with one child per adult and up to 2 children per room, when 2 or more adults stay. Cribs and bed guards are available free of charge, subject to availability. There is no communal bath or onsen, but an outdoor pool with a children's pool operates in summer.

Rooms

The hotel's 418 rooms range from 26 sq m standard rooms to the 104 sq m Malibu Suite. The Standard Twin (26 sq m, two beds 100-110 cm wide) allows co-sleeping for up to 2 children, and the Standard Double (26 sq m, one bed 200 cm wide) for up to 1. Room types including the Moderate Twin (36 sq m, two beds 130 cm wide), the Moderate Double (36 sq m, one bed 220 cm wide) and the Superior Twin (40 sq m) allow co-sleeping for up to 2 children and can also take a crib. What is possible differs by room type — standard rooms, for example, cannot take a crib — so please confirm when booking. For 3 or more guests, there are the Standard Triple (28 sq m) and the Moderate Triple (36 sq m), as well as connecting rooms, two 28 sq m twin rooms that can be joined by an interior door.

Dining

Breakfast is served buffet-style at the all-day dining restaurant SATSUKI on the lobby floor. Children staying on a co-sleeping basis do not receive plan benefits such as bedding or meals. The restaurants offer a private-room plan for birthdays and anniversaries, and a kids' menu is available. Meals accommodating allergies can also be discussed; please confirm the details with the hotel. If you would rather eat in your room, room service is available from 7 to 10 a.m. and from 5 to 11 p.m. (from 5 p.m. to midnight on days before a holiday).

Baths

There is no communal bath, onsen or private-hire bath. The sauna in the hotel is part of the members-only fitness club Club & Club, together with locker rooms, an indoor pool and a jacuzzi bath; staying guests aged 18 and over can use it for a fee.

Pool

The outdoor Shell Pool, open in summer only, has a children's pool. Entry to the night pool is limited to junior high school students and older, but children of junior high school age and younger can enter the day pool, and the Family Night Plan (6 to 7:30 p.m.), when accompanied by a guardian. The indoor pool has no children's pool, and guests under 18 cannot use it.
