Hakodate Yunokawa Takubokutei is an onsen ryokan of the Noguchi Kanko group in Yunokawa Onsen, Hakodate. It has Japanese-Western rooms, Japanese-style tatami rooms and Western-style rooms, with the Japanese-Western and Japanese-style rooms sleeping up to 5 guests. The communal bath and open-air bath on the top 11th floor draw on a chloride spring, and there is a baby bed in both the men's and women's changing rooms. There are two types of private-hire bath, one of which has a baby bed, so families can enjoy the onsen on their own. Dinner and breakfast are creative buffets built around southern Hokkaido cuisine, with baby food warming and children's chairs available. There is also an Enjoy Space stocked with play equipment, making it well suited to three-generation trips.
Rooms
Renovated in December 2024, the ryokan offers Japanese-Western rooms, Japanese-style tatami rooms and Western-style rooms (twin and single). The Japanese-Western and Japanese-style rooms sleep up to 5 guests, while the Western-style rooms take 1 to 2 guests. Rooms on the upper floors (8F to 10F) are laid out to look out over Hakodate's sea and mountains, and their beds are larger than usual. The top-grade Deluxe Japanese-Western rooms are limited to 3 rooms, with wider beds than the standard rooms, a massage chair, and a bathroom and toilet in separate rooms. For families there is also the Premier Twin (45 sq m) with 2 large beds, and a 53 sq m Japanese-Western room combining an 8-tatami Japanese-style room with a twin bedroom, which has a separate bathroom and toilet and sleeps up to 5 guests. All guest rooms are non-smoking. Many rooms have a combined bath-and-toilet unit, though some, such as the 53 sq m Japanese-Western room and the Deluxe Japanese-Western rooms, have the bath and toilet in separate rooms.

Dinner and breakfast are both casual seafood buffets of Hakodate and southern Hokkaido, with creative Japanese, Western and Chinese dishes. Dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last order at 8:30 p.m.), and breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. (last order at 8:30 a.m.). Children's chairs are provided in the restaurant. Baby food can be warmed if you ask at the front desk, and hot water for formula is provided in the kettle in your room; if you need more, the front desk can help. Access
The ryokan is 15 minutes by taxi or 30 minutes by streetcar from Hakodate Station, and 10 minutes by taxi from Hakodate Airport. Parking is free. Checkout is normally at 10 a.m., but it can be extended by an hour so you can stay until 11 a.m.
