Bathing is in the communal baths, separate for men and women, called Kozuikai, with an open-air bath continuing on from the indoor bath; these are not onsen. All 18 rooms are the same type and size, 40 sq m Japanese-Western rooms, and you cannot request a specific room. Rooms have a toilet with a bidet washing function and a separate shower booth; there is no bathtub in the rooms, only the shower booth. Hours are from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. the next morning. It is not an onsen. The indoor bath is prepared each day with fragrant water simmered from aromatic wood. No towels are provided at the communal bath, so bring them from your room.

Access and Surroundings
It is about 30 minutes by car from JR Fukui Station, about a 5-minute walk from the Eiheiji bus stop on the Keifuku Bus, and about a 3-minute walk from Daihonzan Eiheiji. Parking has been paid for staying guests since April 1, 2023: use the Daihonzan Eiheiji parking or a nearby parking lot at 500 yen per day. Convenience stores and supermarkets are in Matsuoka-cho, about 15 minutes away by car. Restaurants in front of the temple gate close around 5 p.m., and guests are advised that there is nowhere to get dinner nearby. Nearby sightseeing spots include the Ichijodani Asakura Family Historic Ruins, the Dinosaur Museum and Echizen Ono Castle.
