Courtyard by Marriott Fukui is a high-rise hotel that opened in March 2024, a 2-minute walk from the west exit of JR Fukui Station. Dining
The hotel has two restaurants. Substance, an all-day dining venue built around a concept of local ingredients for local tables, serves a varied menu from breakfast through lunch and dinner. At the Japanese restaurant Fukui, you can enjoy dishes made with seafood from the Sea of Japan and seasonal Fukui ingredients; it is open for lunch and dinner and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Breakfast is not free; there is a charge for it. Room service is also available, which helps when a small child makes it hard to go out for a meal. Because the hotel is right in front of Fukui Station, check-in can get crowded around Shinkansen arrival times, so if you are traveling with small children, arriving at a different time lets you check in without the rush. Check-in is from 3 p.m. to midnight, and checkout is at 12 p.m.
