The spring water is a simple onsen - a hypotonic, weakly alkaline, high-temperature spring - gentle on the skin, with a pH of 9.1. Rather than flowing freely from the source, the water is recirculated and heated, and the bubble bath inside the communal bath uses plain hot water. The communal bath and the open-air bath are open from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 10:30 a.m. to midnight. Babies and toddlers who are not yet out of diapers can use the communal bath, but getting into the bathtub is not permitted, so a baby bath is used instead. The private-hire bath, which must be booked, has two kinds of tubs, one indoors and one outdoors, and costs 2,500 yen for a one-hour session for staying guests. Guests with tattoos cannot use the onsen.

It is about 15 minutes by car from the Ichinomiya-Misaka IC on the Chuo Expressway, and parking on the grounds is free with no reservation needed. Kamui Misaka Ski Resort is 20 minutes away by car, with no shuttle service.
