Superior Twin rooms are 25.4-29 sq m with two beds 120 cm across, and can take up to 3 guests when an extra bed is used. Corner Twin rooms are 30-36 sq m and likewise take up to 3 guests with an extra bed. The rooms are modern spaces built around a tea room motif, with tatami flooring where you can take off your shoes and unwind.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet-style at the restaurant CHAPTER THE GRILL, open from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The spread includes freshly baked bread, fresh fruit, obanzai (Kyoto home-style side dishes) made with local Kyoto ingredients, and yudofu (simmered tofu) made with local tofu. If you book one room for 3 guests, the third guest's meal is not included in the room rate and is settled at the hotel. Room service is not available.
Baths
The communal baths draw clear spring water from underground and feature a beautifully polished granite bath and a semi-open-air bath looking out over a rock garden. They are not onsen. There are 2 communal baths, open from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m., and again from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The women's area is stocked with OSAJI amenities.
Family-friendly features
Children are welcome to stay. Co-sleeping is available for up to one child, and elementary school children, in both the lower and upper grades, are charged 100% of the adult rate. Babies and toddlers cannot be accepted on plans that include meals; without meals but using bedding, they are charged 100% of the adult rate, and with neither meals nor bedding they stay free of charge. The fitness center has an age restriction and young children cannot use it. There is no childcare service. The hotel has elevators, so getting around with a stroller is straightforward.
