Do your shopping and eating in Saga City during the day, then head to Furuyu Onsen in time for check-in, so the fussy late afternoon is spent relaxing at the inn. Lukewarm water lets you soak for a long time, but you can also get chilled quickly afterward, so keep a change of clothes somewhere easy to reach. With a lot of luggage and strollers, it helps to think about the effort of each transfer.
