Sakaide Grand Hotel, in Sakaide, Kagawa, makes a convenient base for sightseeing in Shikoku. It is 2 minutes by car from the Sakaide-kita IC, 10 minutes by car from Shikoku Aquarium and 30 minutes by car from NEW Reoma World. Alongside a Shikoku pilgrimage menu built around Kagawa's own Sanuki udon, it includes dishes that are popular with children. Breakfast costs 1,320 yen for adults, 880 yen for elementary school children and 550 yen for children ages 4 and over who have not yet started elementary school, and it is free for children ages 3 and under. Dinner is served at Kaisen Chaya Iso no Takumi on the first floor of the East Wing, where you can enjoy seasonal fish and Sanuki chicken. Meals accommodating allergies can also be arranged.
Baths
There is a communal bath on the third floor of the East Wing, open from 4 p.m. to midnight and again from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The women's communal bath has a number-code security system. Please bring the towels from your room when you use it. Plans are also sold that include a free bathing ticket for the partner bathing facility Iyashi no Sato Sarai, a 2-minute walk from the hotel. Assisted bathing is available at the communal bath.
