Overview
Okura Hotel Marugame is a 285-room hotel overlooking the Seto Inland Sea and the Seto Ohashi Bridge. The panoramic bath on the third floor is reserved for staying guests and looks out across the Seto Ohashi Bridge as you soak. Babies and toddlers stay by co-sleeping as a rule, cribs are available for a fee, and children's yukata and slippers are provided. Breakfast is served buffet-style with dishes made using Oidemai, a Sanuki rice variety. Free parking for 300 vehicles makes the hotel easy to reach by car.
Rooms
Twin rooms (25.7 sq m, nonsmoking and smoking) include rooms on the Seto Ohashi Bridge side, and the beds are semi-double size. Depending on the accommodation plan, the Deluxe Twin room (29.4 sq m) can take one extra bed for 3 guests or two extra beds for 4 guests, making it workable for families. On the Marugame Port side, facing away from the Seto Ohashi Bridge, there are also Economy Twin rooms (18.5 sq m, with one double bed and one single bed); one guest uses the double bed, while three guests share the double bed between two people and use the single bed for one. The Executive Twin room blends Japanese calm with Western comfort, with beds set on tatami, creating a quiet space that suits guests of every generation. All rooms have warm-water bidet toilets. Wired LAN is available in every room except the Japanese-style tatami rooms and the suites, and free Wi-Fi is available in all Western-style rooms, excluding the Japanese-style tatami rooms.
Dining
Breakfast is served buffet-style from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. (hours may change for group bookings, events and similar reasons). The menu includes local flavors such as tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg) made with the Sanuki rice variety Oidemai, and bread baked fresh on the premises. The French restaurant Les Saisons serves lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (last orders 2 p.m.) and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (last orders 8 p.m.). Pets are not allowed in the restaurant.
Baths
The panoramic bath on the third floor is for staying guests only, with sweeping views of the Seto Ohashi Bridge, and can be used free of charge from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to midnight. A sauna is also available, but only at night. It is not an onsen, and there is no free-flowing spring water or cloudy water. There is no private-hire bath; only the communal bath is available.

Babies and toddlers stay by co-sleeping as a rule, and cribs can be borrowed at 1,100 yen each (service charge included, before tax). Children's yukata and slippers are also provided and can be picked up by asking at the front desk. Co-sleeping is limited to one child, and whether elementary school children and younger children can be accommodated, and at what rate, varies by accommodation plan (some plans cannot accept elementary school children, and some charge 100% of the adult rate), so please check when booking. Many accommodation plans have child rates. Humidifiers, buckwheat-husk pillows, desk lamps and other items are available to borrow, but quantities are limited, so ask at the front desk as early as you can. There are no barrier-free rooms, and every room has a step of about 20 cm at the bathroom entrance, so take care when moving around with a stroller. There is no pool or tennis court.

The hotel is about 5 minutes by car from JR Marugame Station, about 15 minutes from Sakaide-kita IC on the Seto-Chuo Expressway when coming from Honshu, and about 15 minutes from Sakaide IC on the Takamatsu Expressway when coming from elsewhere in Shikoku. There is free surface parking for 300 vehicles, with entry and exit available 24 hours. A free shuttle bus also runs toward Marugame Station (Monday through Saturday, three services, drop-off only, no reservation required), so getting around without a car is possible too.
