Guest House Iketa Niijima stands in Honson, the central district of Niijima. It is a guesthouse with a full kitchen where you can cook for yourselves, in a location that makes shopping and eating out easy.

The rooms are detached: an 8-tatami Japanese-style tatami room for 1 to 4 guests and an 8-tatami Western-style room for 1 to 4 guests. Groups can also rent a whole floor, so a three-generation trip or a holiday with friends and their families can go ahead without worrying about other guests.

The guesthouse sits in the center of Niijima, about 5 minutes by car from Niijima Port and Niijima Airport. It is close enough to walk, but a shuttle from the port is available as well. Being in the middle of the island means shops and places to eat are conveniently close.

Niijima is an island with plenty of nature and hands-on experiences that families enjoy. Maehama Beach, which stays shallow far out from shore with gentle waves, is ideal for swimming with children. Other spots dotted around the island include the free open-air onsen Yunohama Roten Onsen, which you enter wearing a swimsuit, the Moyai statues that originated on Niijima, and the Niijima Glass Art Center, where you can try glass art made with koga stone.
