Overview
Izanro Iwasaki is a long-established ryokan founded in the 9th year of the Taisho era (1920), with the waters of Misasa Onsen, one of the world's foremost radium springs. Its bathing areas range from large to small and each has its own character, including an open-air bath set in a large strolling garden, and there is a barrier-free private-hire bath as well. Children ages 0 to 5 may stay with co-sleeping, babies and toddlers stay at no charge if they need neither meals nor a futon, and children under school age can be served a kids' set with dishes such as omurice and Hamburg steak. The ryokan has 79 rooms in total.
Rooms
Guest rooms come in a range of types, starting with the purely Japanese-style rooms in Sansuikaku and Tozankaku (45-58 sq m, for up to 5 guests). On Futaba, the Japanese-Western concept floor, there are Japanese-style twin rooms (21 sq m, for up to 2 guests), Japanese-Western rooms (26 sq m, for up to 4 guests) and two-room Japanese-Western rooms (31 sq m, for up to 4 guests). The Futaba suite rooms Kawanami and Kawagiri are 83.93 sq m for up to 6 guests, so they also work for larger families.
