Kikusui-tei is a Chinese-cuisine ryokan on the shore of Lake Tama in Tokorozawa, Saitama. Every room is a Japanese-style tatami room, which makes futon bedding easy to arrange for families. It is about a 2-minute walk from Seibuen Yuenchi Station, right in front of the amusement park, and family-friendly features include the communal bath Sayama no Chayu and a kids' menu at the restaurant Tengaiten. There are no cribs for guest rooms and no kids' programs, but children under 5 can co-sleep free of charge.
Rooms
Because every room is a Japanese-style tatami room, families with young children can settle in comfortably. The Deluxe Japanese-Western Room consists of two rooms (a 10-tatami Japanese-style room and a twin bedroom), measuring 65 sq m, with 2 beds and futon bedding for 4. It accommodates up to 6 guests and is located on floors 3 to 5. The Kutsurogi Japanese-Modern Rooms A, B and C are each 47 sq m (with a 12-tatami living area), with 2 beds and futon bedding for 3, accommodating up to 5 guests. They are on the 5th floor, the top floor. The Lake Tama View Japanese-style room is 47 sq m (with a 12-tatami living area) with futon bedding for 6, accommodates up to 6 guests, and is located on the 3rd and 4th floors. It has a broad window-side space with sunken-floor (horigotatsu) seating where you can take in the view of Lake Tama.

The communal bath is not an onsen; it is Sayama no Chayu, which uses a bath powder blended with Sayama tea. Staying guests may use it at no additional charge, and the baths on the 1st and 2nd floors swap over between the day of arrival and the following morning. There is a baby bed in the changing room and a baby bath in the bathing area. Guests wearing diapers, whatever their age, may not enter the bathtubs, though they can be bathed in the baby bath. A Finnish-style self-service loyly sauna is also available.

Access
The ryokan is about a 2-minute walk from Seibuen Yuenchi Station and about an 8-minute walk from Tamako Station. By car, it is about 12 km from the Tokorozawa IC on the Kan-Etsu Expressway, and parking for 40 cars is available on a first-come, first-served basis rather than by reservation. Seibuen Yuenchi amusement park is right in front of Kikusui-tei, and staying guests can re-enter as many times as they like on the same day. The adjoining Seibuen Yuenchi also has a pool suitable for young children, open from June 27 to September 23 in 2026.
