The calm water at Sokodo is ideal for children to swim and snorkel, and you can sign up for a trial dive at the on-site dive shop. It is a chance to make the most of the Hachijo Blue sea, where you may meet sea turtles.

Overview
Seadive Guest House Hachijojima sits alongside the Seadive dive shop, a 3-minute walk from Sokodo Port and Sokodo Beach on Hachijojima. All 6 rooms have ocean views and come with a bath and toilet: Japanese-Western rooms for 1 to 4 guests and Japanese-style tatami rooms for 1 to 6 guests, both with child rates. Breakfast comes with a choice of toast and other items, and there is a shared washing machine and microwave for guests to use. Hachijojima Airport is 7 minutes away by car, and a shuttle is available if you contact the guest house in advance.
Rooms
All 6 guest rooms have ocean views and come with a bath and toilet. The toilet has a bidet seat, and the bathroom is a combined bath-and-toilet unit. There are two room types: a Japanese-Western room (ocean view, a twin room plus a 4.5-tatami area, 24 sq m, with bath and toilet, for 1 to 4 guests) and a Japanese-style tatami room (12 tatami mats, with bath and toilet, for 1 to 6 guests), and both plans have child rates. Each room has a TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, an electric hot-water kettle and a hair dryer, and bath towels, face towels, body soap and 2-in-1 shampoo are provided. Yukata and sleepwear are not provided, so please bring your own if you need them. Every room in the building is non-smoking.
Dining
Breakfast is served in the first-floor lobby from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m., which is last order. A typical spread includes toast, salad, a boiled egg, sausages, juice and coffee, and you can choose your toast from plain, cheese, honey cheese, jam, chocolate, cinnamon, caramel and more. Accommodation plans come either with breakfast or room-only, and dinner is not served. The shared space has a microwave, a refrigerator, Japanese tea, coffee cups and other items, which guests are free to use.
Family-Friendly Features
Both the Japanese-Western room plans and the Japanese-style tatami room plans have child rates. The Japanese-style tatami room takes 1 to 6 guests, enough for a family to stay together. Access
The guest house is a 3-minute walk from Sokodo Port and a 3-minute walk from Sokodo Beach, Hachijojima's main beach. Hachijojima Airport is 7 minutes away by car, and a shuttle is available if you contact the guest house in advance. Parking is free. Kei-car rentals are also available, and staying guests receive a 500 yen discount per day when they rent for 8 hours or more. There is also a shuttle to restaurants, in the Mitsune district only, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and a shuttle to the supermarket, Hachijo Store, departing at 5:30 p.m.; both must be requested by 5 p.m.
