The beds are made by Simmons to support a good night's sleep. The bathroom has only a shower booth and no bathtub, so keep in mind that there is no tub in the room for a soak with your child.
Dining
There is no restaurant on site, and the only meal served is a breakfast box, which must be reserved in advance. The breakfast box features ingredients from the local area and is picked up at the front desk between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. In the lobby lounge, coffee, green tea grown in Minamiyamashiro and miso soup are available free of charge, and the Market Place shop sells local specialties as well as light meals and snacks.
Family-Friendly Points
Children can stay at the hotel, and co-sleeping is free for one child of elementary school age or younger per adult. No children's amenities are provided, however, so bring whatever your child needs. If you would like your child to co-sleep, enter the number of children under "co-sleeping (no meals, no futon)" when booking; if a child will use their own bedding, the booking is made at the adult rate. Because the guest bathrooms have only a shower booth and no bathtub, soaking in a tub means using a nearby facility. Shimagahara Onsen Yabuccha no Yu is about 20 minutes away by car, and a free shuttle bus (seating 9) runs there every Saturday from July to September. Hotel guests get 100 yen off the bathing fee (adults only), but conditions apply, so please check the details with the hotel. Bathing fees at Yabuccha no Yu are 900 yen for adults and 450 yen for children aged 3 to 12.
