Rooms
Guest rooms are divided between the West Building and the East Building, and the bathroom fittings differ by room type. The West Building single rooms number 96 in total, each 16 sq m, and are renovated rooms with a semi-double bed 121 cm wide by 197 cm long. Plans for 2 guests in one of these rooms have a children's rate. There are also rooms with only a shower booth and no bathtub (13 sq m, with a bed 120 cm wide by 200 cm long) and rooms with no bathroom fittings at all, whose guests use the first-floor communal bath (10 sq m, with a bed 97 cm wide by 195 cm long); co-sleeping is not available in these rooms. The West Building twin is 31 sq m, with 2 such rooms, and sleeps up to 6 guests using two beds 121 cm wide by 197 cm long plus extra beds. The East Building twin is 21 sq m, with 8 such rooms, and has a shower booth but no bathtub; two beds plus one extra bed sleep up to 3 guests, and co-sleeping is not available. There are 6 Japanese-style tatami rooms, each with a 6-mat and an 8-mat Kyoma-size area, and up to 5 sets of futon bedding can be laid out per room. The room description in the plans notes that families can feel reassured even with a young child, as co-sleeping is free for up to one child who has not yet started elementary school. Children's rates are set for plans in the West Building single (16 sq m, 2-guest use), the West Building twin, the East Building twin and the Japanese-style tatami rooms. As for the humidifying air purifiers in the rooms, the hotel notes that some East Building rooms do not have one. All rooms are non-smoking, and there are no connecting rooms. Checkout is at 11 a.m., and a one-hour late checkout is available from 1,000 yen per person.
Dining
Breakfast is the Japanese set meal Ehime no Megumi Asa-gozen (a morning tray of Ehime's bounty), served at the RAF LOUNGE restaurant on the first floor of the East Building from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with last entry at 10:45 a.m., and rice and miso soup can be refilled freely. Sign-up at the front desk by 11 p.m. the previous day is required, and the hotel's in-house loungewear may not be worn at the breakfast venue. The same restaurant serves lunch and cafe fare during the day, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and turns into a lounge that adults can enjoy in the evening. The lunch and cafe food menu includes a set of jumbo fried prawns and diced steak, billed on the menu as a classic favorite with children.
Baths and Onsen
The first-floor communal bath Yururin uses 100% free-flowing natural spring water drawn from 670 m underground and is open all night, from 3 p.m. until 10 a.m. the next morning. The source water is 36 degrees C, while the heated bath is 41 degrees C and has a jet function. The spring water is a pH 8.9 alkaline simple onsen; soap lathers well in it, and it is said to help leave skin looking beautiful. The men's bath also has a sauna and a cold-water bath. The women's bath is unavailable from 3:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m., when male staff clean it. Guests need to bring the towels provided in their room, and people with tattoos, including fashion tattoos, are not permitted to bathe.
Family-Friendly Features
The free co-sleeping for up to one child who has not yet started elementary school is stated only for the Japanese-style tatami rooms; the rooms with only a shower booth, the single-type rooms and the East Building twins are set up without co-sleeping. On accessibility, the hotel states that it is not currently equipped with barrier-free facilities, so please check with the hotel in advance if you plan to move around with a stroller. Because the hotel's loungewear may not be worn at the breakfast venue, families with children will need to change into regular clothes before eating. On the first floor there is a coin laundry available 24 hours a day with free detergent, handy on stays that go through a lot of children's clothes.
