Baths and Onsen
The natural onsen Minapirika no Yu is free for staying guests. It is open from 6 a.m. to midnight, and the sauna from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. There is a wide range of tubs, including a carbonated bath, a jet bath, an electric bath and the Ishitsubo-yu stone-pot bath. Restrictions apply to children: under local regulations, mixed bathing is not permitted for children aged 7 and over or 120 cm and taller. Elementary school children cannot bathe on their own. Bathing while wearing a diaper is not permitted; only the shower may be used. Ganbanyoku (a heated-stone sauna) costs 700 yen per session and cannot be used by children in the third grade of elementary school and under.
