Overview
JR Inn Asahikawa is directly connected to JR Asahikawa Station and sits above Aeon Mall Asahikawa Ekimae. It has a communal bath, a lounge for staying guests only, and on-site parking. Breakfast is served at the buffet venue on the 4th floor of the Aeon Mall connected to the hotel, from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (last entry 9:30 a.m.), in a Japanese-Western buffet style. It costs 1,800 yen including tax and is free for children below elementary school age. Dinner is not served, but guests can use the restaurant floor of the Aeon Mall or the eateries around the hotel.
Baths
The communal baths are separate for men and women and are open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. the next morning, and again from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. There is also a semi-open-air bath where you can relax in the Asahikawa air. The baths are not onsen, and there is no free-flowing spring water or cloudy spring water. There is no private-hire bath, so bathing with a baby or toddler means using the gender-separated communal baths.

Access
From the west ticket gate of JR Asahikawa Station, walk through Aeon Mall Asahikawa Ekimae and take the hotel's dedicated elevator to the front desk on the 5th floor. From Asahikawa Airport, it is about 35 minutes on the public bus into the city; get off at stop 5 of the Asahikawa Station bus terminal, then walk 2 minutes. If you are driving, you can use the Aeon Mall Asahikawa Ekimae parking for 800 yen per night, though vehicles 2.2 m or taller cannot be parked there. From bus stop 6 at Asahikawa Station, in front of the hotel, buses to Asahiyama Zoo run roughly every 30 minutes and take about 40 minutes.
