About Nakatsu Station
Nakatsu Station is an Osaka Metro Midosuji Line station (station number M15) in Nakatsu 1-chome, Kita Ward, Osaka. It is an underground station with a single island platform serving two tracks. There are two ticket gates on the Shin-Osaka side, the North-North Gate and the North-South Gate, and one on the Umeda side, the South Gate. Hankyu Railway also has a station with the same name, but it is about 300 meters away and is not a transfer station. The area sits near the northern part of the so-called "Hankyu Village," a cluster of facilities run by the Hankyu Hanshin Toho Group (a major Kansai railway and entertainment company). By bus, the nearest stop is "Chikatetsu Nakatsu," where Osaka City Bus route 34 runs toward Osaka Station and Moriguchi Depot.

Travel tips
If you have a stroller or luggage, you can choose the North-South Gate, which has an elevator, or the South Gate, which has an up escalator. When heading up to street level, it helps to decide in advance on Exit 2 or Exit 5, both of which have elevators. Getting around Osaka is mostly done by train, so it goes more smoothly if you have a rechargeable IC card ready for each person.
Best season
Osaka has plenty of indoor attractions, so it can be enjoyed all year round. Spring and fall have mild weather that makes outdoor sightseeing comfortable. Summers are hot and humid, so mixing in indoor spots makes the trip easier, and winter suits an itinerary built mainly around indoor activities.
Getting there
The station is on the Midosuji Line, between Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station (M14) and Umeda Station (M16). Osaka City Bus route 34 serves the "Chikatetsu Nakatsu" stop.
