Overview
Club Med Hokkaido Tomamu is an all-inclusive resort with 341 rooms in Naka-Tomamu, Shimukappu-mura, Hokkaido. Meals, drinks and a wide range of activities are included in the accommodation price, and there are children's programs too, including the Mini Club for ages 4 to 10 and the Petit Club for ages 2 and 3. A baby bath and a bed guard are available to borrow free of charge, though advance reservation is required. A free shuttle bus takes about 5 minutes from JR Tomamu Station.
Rooms
Guest rooms come in several types, including Family Superior Rooms, Junior Family Superior Rooms, the Master Family Suite Fours and connecting rooms. The Family Superior Room is a 38 sq m twin for 1 to 2 guests, with two beds measuring 110 cm wide by 190 cm long and one twin bed. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests, so it cannot be used by 3 people in one room, but children aged 0 to 3 can stay in the same room. The Junior Family Superior Room is 42 sq m for 1 to 3 guests, and the Master Family Suite Fours is 72 sq m for 1 to 5 guests. Connecting rooms are two rooms joined by an interior door, so you can move between them without stepping out into the corridor. Every room has a bathtub, a bidet toilet and a hair dryer. Co-sleeping is not available in the Family Superior Rooms or the connecting rooms.
Dining
Meals are served buffet-style at the main restaurant ITARA, where a world buffet changes theme every day. Breakfast is from 7 to 9:30 a.m., lunch from 12 to 2 p.m. and dinner from 6 to 9 p.m., each drawn from more than 90 recipes that rotate day by day. Guests aged 12 and over pay the adult rate, children aged 4 to 11 pay the child rate, and children aged 0 to 3 are free of charge. Children aged 0 to 3 are not counted in the number of guests, and you need to enter their name and date of birth in the remarks field.

Baths and Pool
There is no communal bath, onsen, open-air bath or private-hire bath on the property, so bathing is done in the bathtub in your room. Right in front of the resort is Mina Mina Beach, one of the largest indoor wave pools in Japan. It is operated by Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, but during a Club Med stay you can use it as many times as you like at no additional charge.

Access
A free shuttle bus takes about 5 minutes from JR Tomamu Station. A paid transfer is available from New Chitose Airport, priced at 11,900 yen per person one way for the 2026 summer season. Parking is free for staying guests, with 100 spaces. JR Tomamu Station is unstaffed and has no elevators or escalators, and on the way back you need to climb stairs to cross over the tracks, so if you have large luggage, using a luggage delivery service or the airport transfer is recommended.
