Overview
SiS Stargate Hotel Kansai Airport is a 256-meter skyscraper hotel across the water from Kansai International Airport, directly connected to Exit 3 of Rinku Town Station on the JR and Nankai lines. Guest rooms are on floors 29 to 50. Along with twin, double and triple rooms, there is a Japanese-style tatami room of 10 plus 6 tatami mats that sleeps up to 6. Children aged 12 and under can co-sleep, with one child per regular bed. Cribs are free of charge, though numbers are limited. There is no communal bath or pool, and meals are taken at the hotel's restaurants.
Rooms
The hotel's 358 guest rooms occupy floors 29 to 50. Room types are single, twin, double, Japanese-style tatami room, junior suite and suite, so there are rooms for anywhere from 1 to 6 guests. The Superior Twin and Superior Double are 32.6 sq m. The Standard Twin is 23.3 sq m, and its accommodation plans are set for single use (one guest per room). Bed widths in the twin rooms are 120 cm in the Standard Twin, Superior Twin and Superior Corner Twin, and 140 cm in the Deluxe Corner Twin. The Triple is a 32.6 sq m twin room set up for 3 guests, with 2 regular beds and 1 extra bed. The Fours (a Corner Twin with 2 extra beds) is 44.8 sq m and set up for 4 guests, with 2 regular beds and 2 extra beds. For families who want more space, the Japanese-style tatami room comes as a suite type, with 10 plus 6 tatami mats, and sleeps up to 6. There are no connecting rooms. For accessibility, there is one twin-type Universal Room (46.6 sq m) on the 31st floor, where a wheelchair can go all the way into the bathroom. Some rooms are smoking rooms, so please check whether your room is non-smoking or smoking when you book. A humidifying air purifier is standard in every room, and Rakuten Travel's facility information also lists humidifiers as available to borrow.
Dining
Breakfast and dinner are both served in the restaurants; in-room dining is not available. Breakfast is the morning buffet at Sky Dining 256 Stargate on the 54th floor, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (last order 10 a.m.). The regular breakfast price is 3,800 yen for adults and 1,900 yen for children aged 4 to 12, and it is free for children aged 3 and under. At the shabu-shabu restaurant Tenku, the all-you-can-eat dinner has a 100-minute limit. Its children's rate covers ages 4 to 12, children aged 3 and under are free, and junior high school students and older pay the adult rate. The hotel restaurants ask guests with food allergies to tell a staff member, and dishes accommodating allergies can be arranged. Please confirm what can be accommodated when you book. If you would like to eat in a private room, Midair Suite, the French restaurant on the 54th floor, is fully private (an enclosed private room); it requires a reservation at least 3 days in advance, for 2 or more guests. Rinku, the teppanyaki restaurant on the 52nd floor, offers the Rinku Private Room Plan for one group per day, which requires a reservation at least one week in advance, for 2 or more guests. Both are booked with the restaurant, separately from your accommodation plan.
Baths
The hotel has no onsen, communal bath, private-hire bath, sauna, indoor pool or outdoor pool. Twin, double and triple rooms have a bath and toilet, so children bathe in the room's bathroom. Only the suites and the Japanese-style tatami rooms have a bathroom with a night view.
Family-Friendly Features
Children aged 12 and under can stay with co-sleeping, with one child per regular bed. Children of elementary school age and under stay free of charge when they co-sleep in the same bed as a parent or guardian, and the adult rate applies from junior high school age. Co-sleeping children do not receive meals, amenities or benefits, and if they eat, a separate charge applies at the restaurant. On the plan where the room type is left to the hotel, co-sleeping is limited to 2 children, and children up to elementary school age co-sleep free of charge. On that plan, upper-grade elementary school children, lower-grade elementary school children, and babies and toddlers with meals and bedding are all charged 100% of the adult rate, while babies and toddlers without meals or bedding stay free. For children of elementary school age and under who use a bed, the Night View Heritage-certified "Kids' Discount" Family Stay plan takes 50% off the adult rate, and the dinner-and-breakfast plan with all-you-can-eat shabu-shabu, available until November 30, 2026, takes 30% off. On both plans, each child using a bed receives one set of children's pajamas and kids' amenities. Cribs (baby cots) are free of charge, but numbers are limited, so please request one when booking. Extra beds are 5,000 yen each (including tax and service charge) and are also limited in number. Information on baby futon rental is not listed in our information, so please confirm with the hotel. Central Fitness, the members-only fitness club on the 7th floor, is not operated by the hotel, and children aged 15 and under cannot use it. There is no childcare service. Checkout is at 11 a.m.; extending until 2 p.m. costs an additional 30% of the room rate, and extending until 5 p.m. costs an additional 50%.
