There is also a survival field for air guns and target shooting.

Rooms and Log Cabins
The two-story log-house main building, built on huge Douglas fir posts and with a total floor area of 300 tsubo, has rooms for 4 to 6 guests and rooms for 2 (pets are allowed in some of them). Dotted around it are standalone log cabins the owner built by hand, so each group can settle in without worrying about anyone else: Yume Papa, framed with 12 m logs (30 tatami mats on the first floor plus a 10-tatami loft on the second), and Goro's and Jiro's, each with a 9-tatami room and a hammock on the deck.

Every bath is a handmade private-hire bath, in large, medium and small sizes, and couples, families and groups can take one for themselves with no reservation needed. The distinctive bathrooms include Akai Bara no Yu (Red Rose Bath), Momonga no Yu (Flying Squirrel Bath), Rabu Hotaru no Yu and Dokan no Yu. The Outdoors and Play
There is no shortage of ways to play in nature: splashing about in the clear stream that runs through the grounds, meeting donko gobies and medaka rice fish, mountain-stream fishing, forest-bathing walks, collecting insects such as rhinoceros beetles, stag beetles and fireflies, trekking, and digging bamboo shoots and gathering wild vegetables in spring. There is also MD Toride, a survival field for air guns, archery and target shooting (please discuss it in advance; use is at your own risk).
Dining
The specialty is the outdoor barbecue party. The restaurant bar is lined with a thick single-slab counter and cedar-log stools, and in winter you can enjoy a charcoal barbecue gathered around the irori sunken hearth and the wood stove. Breakfast is a Japanese-Western spread built around fresh raw vegetables. In rainy weather, in winter and for small groups, meals are served in the restaurant. This is also a place where you can stay with a pet, from small dogs all the way up to extra-large breeds. Check-in is from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., and checkout is at 12 p.m.
