Kussharo Prince Hotel is an onsen resort on the shore of Lake Kussharo, where every guest room faces the lake. The Family Rooms have four regular beds permanently installed, making them well suited to families of 3 or 4. The child rate for elementary school children is 70% of the adult rate, and cribs are available to borrow, though they cannot be used in every room type and the number available is limited. Please note that the onsen supply equipment is currently out of order, so the communal bath is operating with heated groundwater rather than the usual onsen water.
Rooms
All guest rooms face Lake Kussharo, and even on the lower floors there is no room without a view of the lake. The Family Room has four regular beds permanently installed and accommodates 1 to 4 guests. It measures 28.8 sq m, and these rooms are located on floors 1 through 7. Twin Room B sleeps up to 3 guests by adding a sofa bed to its two beds, and it has a separate shower booth. The Corner Triple Room combines Hollywood twin beds with a single bed and sleeps up to 3 guests.

The restaurant Rupenyu is a glass-walled space surrounded by a large pond and greenery, with a performance kitchen where the chef cooks right in front of you. Breakfast is served buffet-style for 3,100 yen. Dinner is served from 6 p.m. to around 8:30 p.m., and breakfast from 7 a.m. to around 9 a.m. Meals are served buffet-style as standard, so children can choose whatever they like from the dish board, though this may change to a set menu depending on how full the hotel is. Food allergy accommodation covers only 8 specified ingredients, and guests who would like it must let the hotel know in advance. Baths and Onsen
Kussharo Onsen wells up from about 1,000 m underground, and the bathing area is on the third floor of the East Wing. The open-air bath is covered by a roof, so you can soak while looking out over the garden. You can go straight from your room to the baths in your yukata and sandals using a dedicated elevator. There is no private-hire bath, and there is no indoor or outdoor pool. The onsen supply is currently stopped because the onsen supply equipment has broken down, and the communal bath is operating with groundwater pumped up from the hotel grounds and heated.

By car, the hotel is about 50 km (about 1 hour) from Memanbetsu Airport, about 95 km (about 1 hour 45 minutes) from Kushiro Airport, and about 70 km (about 1 hour 20 minutes) from Nemuro Nakashibetsu Airport. By train, it is a 25-minute taxi ride from Mashu Station on the JR Senmo Main Line, at a fare of roughly 7,000 yen. A free shuttle bus between JR Mashu Station and the hotel also runs from April through November by reservation. Parking is free for staying guests, with space for 189 vehicles. The hotel's operating season runs from April 25 to November 22, 2026.
