Overview
JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu is a city hotel just a 1-minute walk from JR Takamatsu Station, with panoramic views over the Seto Inland Sea and the city of Takamatsu. Children who have not yet started elementary school stay free when co-sleeping, and cribs, children's pajamas in a 130 cm size and children's slippers are available to borrow. Japanese-style tatami rooms of over 60 sq m sleep up to 5 guests, and connecting rooms take up to 6, which makes family trips easier to arrange. Strollers can be taken straight into the hotel restaurants, and both the men's and women's restrooms have diaper-changing tables.
Rooms
All 300 guest rooms look out over the Seto Inland Sea and central Takamatsu in a sweeping panorama. For family trips with children, the Japanese-style tatami rooms of over 60 sq m, which take up to 5 guests, and the connecting rooms, which take up to 6, are the practical choices. There are 6 tatami rooms on the 5th floor and 2 connecting rooms on the 6th floor. Children who have not yet started elementary school stay free of charge when co-sleeping, and extra towels can be provided on request. Every room has a humidifying air purifier, free Wi-Fi and a trouser press.
Dining
Breakfast is served as a Japanese and Western buffet at the first-floor cafe and restaurant Van. Highlights include Shikoku no Bimi Meguri, a spread of regional dishes from Kagawa Prefecture and the rest of Shikoku, and a live kitchen serving dishes freshly made. Breakfast costs 3,000 yen for adults and 1,500 yen for children ages 3 through elementary school. Strollers can be taken straight into every restaurant in the hotel, which is reassuring for families with young children; the 21st-floor bar Astro does not admit minors. Room service is also available, though for the time being only breakfast is served.
Family-friendly touches
Children's slippers, pajamas in a 130 cm size and cribs are available to borrow. The cribs are free of charge, but numbers are limited, so a reservation is required in advance. There is a coin laundry on the 5th floor for a fee, handy for unplanned laundry during a trip.
Access
