Chateraise Gateaux Kingdom Sapporo is a resort hotel on the outskirts of Kita-ku, Sapporo, with a year-round heated pool and a communal bath fed by a natural hot spring. All 288 rooms are non-smoking, and the room types are varied, including family rooms and Japanese-Western rooms. A fixed night table stands between the beds in the guest rooms, so the beds cannot be pushed together; in some room types, one bed can be moved against the wall to close the gap. Co-sleeping children cannot be accommodated in single rooms (petit double).

Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet at Vigne, the restaurant on the first floor, where the omelets a chef makes in front of you are popular. The lunch buffet offers dishes finished in front of you, along with a kids' menu and Chateraise sweets. There is a kids' space in the corner of the restaurant, plus children's tableware that resists breaking and children's chairs where little ones can sit comfortably. Guests traveling with an infant can receive baby food free of charge on request. The Chinese restaurant Komanro also has private rooms, which require advance reservation. The communal bath has 9 tubs, including an open-air bath, a ceramic bath, a reclining bath, a walking bath and a cypress bath. The open-air bath and the ceramic bath are natural onsen fed by a strong-saline spring, while the indoor tubs use heated water. Some washing areas are given priority for parents with children. The indoor pool is open year-round and includes a toddlers' pool about 15 cm deep and a kids' pool about 30 cm deep, so it suits a child's first time in a pool. The outdoor pool opens in summer only; in 2025 it was open from July 19 to September 15, and staying guests can use it free of charge. The water slide is for those 120 cm and taller, and you may not ride it while holding a child. Children who are not yet out of diapers can use the pool if they wear a swimsuit over a swim diaper. Staying guests can use the pools and the onsen as many times as they like during their stay, except on their last day, and towels can be borrowed free of charge at the reception desk.
