About Utsumi Station
Utsumi Station is the terminal station of the Meitetsu (Nagoya Railroad) Chita New Line in Minamichita, Aichi Prefecture. Its station number is KC24. It is the only railway station in Minamichita and the southernmost station on the Meitetsu network. It is an elevated station with two island platforms and four tracks, and there is one ticket gate on the ground level beneath the tracks. Since March 2023, the station has been unstaffed all day. The station sits on a hill away from the sea, and it takes more than 15 minutes on foot to reach the beaches or the Utsumi neighborhood.

The ticket gate is on the ground level under the elevated tracks, and there are no elevators or escalators between the gate and the platforms. If you travel with a stroller, it is best to plan on carrying it up and down the stairs along with your luggage.

There is no ticket window, but you can buy tickets at the ticket vending machine. You can add value to an IC card (a rechargeable transit card) or settle your fare at the fare adjustment machine near the ticket gate.

Because you need to use stairs to get to and from the platforms, packing light will make getting around easier. The town-run Umikko Bus has a route to Morozaki Port, so it is a good idea to check the timetable ahead of time.
