Rakuten Travel rating 4.12 out of 5 (5,547 reviews). Several guests report that the breakfast buffet had a wide variety and that their children happily ate plenty. Reviews also mention the lovely view of the yacht harbor from the room and a quiet stay. On the other hand, there was also a review noting that the in-room refrigerator was noisy even though it did not cool well.

Overview

Tokushima Grandvrio Hotel is a city hotel on the Shinmachi River waterfront in central Tokushima. Every room has Wi-Fi and an air purifier with a humidifying function. Babies and young children co-sleep free of charge, and elementary school children stay for 2,000 yen per child. A crib can be set up in your room if you ask at the front desk, and each restaurant has children's chairs. There is no communal bath or onsen, so bathing is in your guest room's bathroom only. Free parking has 200 spaces, and the first floor of the annex has a 24-hour convenience store.

Rooms

Single rooms come in two types: the 17.4 sq m Standard and the 22.5 sq m Deluxe. Among the twin rooms is the higher-grade Large Twin, which has the bath and toilet in separate spaces and can only be booked by phone. Suites range from 67.5 sq m to 93.5 sq m. Every room has Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a mini fridge, a tea set and a seating area to relax in, and all rooms also have an air purifier with a humidifying function. The in-room TVs carry the WOWOW kids' channel as well. The barrier-free rooms are more spacious for wheelchair users; the en-suite bathroom has a sliding door with no step, so it can be used while remaining in a wheelchair.

Dining

There are three restaurants: Awa on the 14th floor, serving Japanese-Western kaiseki course meals and teppanyaki; MYRICA on the 2nd floor of the Riverside Annex, a Japanese, Western and Chinese buffet restaurant; and Bizan, the breakfast venue, also on the 2nd floor of the Riverside Annex. Lunch at MYRICA can be taken with either a 60-minute or a 90-minute limit from the time you enter, and children's rates are set for preschool-age children (1,000 yen / 500 yen) and elementary school children (1,500 yen / 1,000 yen). Each restaurant has children's chairs, and for babies who cannot sit up yet, using a stroller is recommended. For food allergies, ingredients such as shrimp, shellfish and certain fruits can be swapped for something else if you notify the hotel in advance, though strict elimination can be difficult when an ingredient is used in a stock or broth. There is no room service.

Baths

There is no communal bath or onsen; bathing is in your guest room's bathroom only.
